Having the ability to keep everything under one roof, helps to eliminate any anxieties that might be harbored with traveling to have this service performed out of the area.

This cremation facility also affords us the opportunity to ensure that this aspect of our services are carried out with the same standards and professionalism that we utilize in every step of the funeral process.

If you would like any more information concerning our cremation facilities or to schedule a tour please contact us at: info@wilksfuneralhome or (208) 238-8000.

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

At this time we are very excited to announce that Verlon & Berniece Jackson are joining the staff at Wilks Funeral Home. Since 1994 Verlon and Berniece started serving our community for over 14 years as funeral assistants.

Verlon and Berniece are long-time Pocatello residents. Verlon was raised here in Pocatello and Berniece is originally from the Grace, Idaho area. They met in Pocatello and were married in Idaho Falls in 1953.  They have been together for 55 years.

Verlon and Berniece farmed the family farm for over 35 years in the Tyhee area; harvesting sugar beats, hay and cattle. After farming, Verlon went to work for Bannock County in the Road and Bridge department where he retired after 10 years. It was after retirement that they started working as Funeral Assistants. Now, 14 years after they started, they still enjoy the rewarding opportunities and experiences that being funeral assistants affords them.
